Specializations
Welcome to my practice! As a dedicated children's speech therapist, I focus on helping young ones develop their communication skills. I strive to create a supportive and engaging environment tailored to each child's unique needs. If your child doesn’t fit within my specializations, I can refer you to other qualified speech therapists who can better assist you.

Early speech, language, and play development (Birth-3 years old)
More Details
Research has shown that early speech and language intervention can significantly improve a child's communication abilities, academic performance, and social interactions. It can help identify potential issues early on, leading to better long-term outcomes and minimizes the need for more intensive interventions later in a child’s life. The earlier the support, the better the child's chances for success in both their personal and academic lives.
Our approach to early speech and language development incorporates evidenced based techniques through play & child-led interests. We often incorporate the use of books and toys, however, many useful materials may already be in the comfort of your home!

Speech sound disorders
More Details
Speech therapy targets how clearly your child is understood by others. Difficulties with speech may be a result of delayed speech sound development, speech sound substitutions, or motor speech disorders (e.g. apraxia, dysarthria)

Expressive and Receptive language delays and disorders
More Details
Language therapy targets how your child uses and understands language. Difficulties with expressive and receptive language may be secondary to a language delay or conditions following a stroke or brain injury. We specialize in helping your child enhance their language skills to effectively communicate their wants/needs and engage in dialogue with others.

Cognitive-Communication
More Details
Cognitive communication therapy targets areas that may include difficulties with attention, memory, problem solving, and much more. Difficulties with cognition may follow as a result from stroke, brain injury, and other diagnoses.

What is Speech Therapy?
Children's speech therapy helps kids develop communication skills, including speech, language, and social communication. A licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) works with children to improve their ability to express themselves, understand others, and develop clear speech.
How do I know if my child needs speech therapy?
If your child is struggling with speaking clearly, understanding language, forming sentences, or social communication, they may benefit from speech therapy. Common signs include difficulty pronouncing certain sounds, limited vocabulary for their age, trouble following directions, stuttering or difficulty with fluency. If you're unsure, we offer evaluations to assess your child's needs.
Do you accept insurance?
At this time, we do not accept insurance. However, we offer affordable private pay options and can provide invoices that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan.
How long does a speech therapy session last?
Sessions typically last between 30 to 60 minutes, depending on your child’s needs and the therapy plan.
What happens during a speech therapy session?
During a session, we use fun, interactive activities tailored to your child's needs. This might include games, storytelling, play-based learning, and structured exercises to improve speech and language skills. This allows us to evaluate your child's needs and help them succeed.
Can I sit in on my child's sessions?
Yes! Parents are encouraged to be involved in the therapy process. Depending on your child’s needs, you may observe sessions or receive guidance on activities to practice at home.
How long will my child need speech therapy?
The duration varies based on the child’s challenges and progress. Some children improve within a few months, while others may need longer support. We continuously assess progress and adjust the therapy plan accordingly.
